Hi, I would say no. The fitting is too tight, and not secure enough to recommend.

Aero seatpost

Please can you advise if this is likely to fit around an aero style setpost (effective diam is 30.9mm, but ovalised at leading edge flattening to squared off back). Any problem using it with carbon seatpost? Thanks very much

There should be no problem using this on an aero post, the carbon may mark but shouldn't cause any more issues than cosmetic.
