I recommend this product
ConsSmall and easy to loose.
ProsShiny.
Not much to say about them really. They're round, quite small, shiny. Bought to replace my FSA headset bearings during routine maintenance. Shimano seem to do the best quality loose ball-bearings. Have tried others over the years, such as Weldtite, and they've gone rusty in the past.

Quality/grade of these balls and can they be used in headsets?

Hi.
What is the grade of these balls?
And can they be used in headsets?

Looking for balls for the following 2 headsets -
Shimano 105
Shimano 600 ultegra tricolor
Hi there,

Yes, providing these are the correct size you could use them in a headset.
The only information we have is that they are steel.

Thanks
Will These Balls Suit My Deore Xt Rear Hub?

Ref Shimano 5/32" balls
Hi,

Unfortunately these will not be the correct replacement bearings for your XT hub. You'll need to check the age of your hub as some of the very old ones use 1/4" balls wheres as most of the current ones use 3/16" balls.

Thanks.
Shimano Bearing Compatibility

I need some 5/32" bearings for my Shimano Ultegra WH-R600-R rear wheel but the parts are out of stock (SJS part # 32684, Shimano part # Y4BR98130).

You have some Shimano Deore XT WH-M778-F bearings of the same size in stock (SJS part # 32691, Shimano part # Y4FE98030).

Is there any reason why I couldn't fit the XT bearings to my Ultegra hub? Are they a different material or grade that would not be recommended?
Thanks.
Hi,

These bearings can be fitted instead, they will be a grade below what you currently have fitted but they are still high quality bearings.

Thanks.
