Eccentric bottom bracket

I have the bracket shown here and would like to adjust it. What tool do you recommend to insert and twist? I had thought of a pin wrench but the pins look too thin.
Many thanks.

I'm looking for an eccentric bottom bracket adapter for a frame I'm building up

I'm looking for an eccentric bottom bracket adapter for a frame I'm building up, bottom bracket is a BMX style 51.5mm diameter 68mm long. I'm wondering if this would be suitable to use.
SJS Customer Service:
In theory, this would probably work, we would prefer to test fit to confirm.

Can I use this ebb on a 2009 felt solo 9?
By Marcus

I did some measurements with the ebb that came with it and it had the same measurements. I do not like the felt one as it uses a wedge, also would it be possible for you to email the instructions or point me to were I could find them on the web.
Thanks
Marcus
Thanks
Marcus
SJS Customer Service:
Hi, I don't think you can. This insert is designed for use with Thorn frames that have two set screws in the bottom bracket shell which are used for adjustment and position fixing. I believe the 2009 Felt Solo 9 does not have these screws as it uses a wedge system. There are no instructions but here is a link https://bit.ly/2TsGQGr to a blog showing how it works. Hi. Just doing some routine maintenance on my pre-owned 2008 Raven Tour and decided to check out the bottom bracket as it looksed a bit ropey, it’s taken quite a bit to remove the BB itself not the eccentric shell. Due possibly to 3 reasons. 1 the length of time it’s actually been installed??. 2 someone in the past has tightened the retaining screws of the eccentric shell in the wrong position into the thinnest part of the shell damaging the internal threads, lastly I think the BB I’ve removed could be the wrong size as it’s a 73mm Shimano UN-54 with a over all length of 110mm..
I’m thinking it should be a 68mm but unsure of the overall length? Can you advise please.
As going to purchase a new eccentric shell and may as well get the correct size BB at the same time. Thanks

SJS Customer Service:
The 2008 Raven Tour uses a 68mm wide BB, its likely to simply be the amount of time it has been fitted.

Hello,I Recently Bought A Thorn Raven. The Serial Number Is . My Question Is I Dont Have A Wrench For The Eccentric Bb. Which Whrench Should I Get For This Bike?
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
If the Raven you recently bought was from new or if it was from the last few years then the tool you need is SJSC part 12076. However if the bike is much older and if it has a black eccentric (like this one you have left this question on) then the tool you need is SJSC part number 11237.
Thanks.
