I recommend this product
ConsNeed to purchase specific tools to fit and remove
ProsEasy to fit, Light weight, Smooth operation
Well, it's been a couple of weeks since I fitted this XT-BBMT800 of commuting and hacking around my home town in the Chilterns and there have been no concerns with this new BB.
Nice and smooth that considering this has been fitted to one of my single speeders it does need take some rotational wear and downward pressure with track stands etc, so with nothing untoward noted, though I do still to purchase a new tool (so that I can remove it, in hopefully a few years time).

I recommend this product
ConsMy tooling did not fit
ProsEasy to fit, light weight, smooth operation
Easy to fit and seems to be really smooth but will need a few rides before I can comment further about its smoothness and functionality.
One word of warning though...my usual tools (Park Tools BBT-19 and BBT-9) do not fit this smaller Shimano BB, so before stripping out the failed BB (which needed the above tools) ensure that you have the correct tools to fit the BB-MT800 - either the Park Tools BBT-59.2 or the one of the Shimano installation tools.
