Clarks Guide Pipe & Rubber Boot

I finished setting up a pair of v-brakes and noticed that the something was grating when operating the front brake. Checked everything along the cable route and found that the plastic sleeve on the new guide pipe was short and the cable was rubbing on the inner end of the pipe. Not impressed. Hopefully a one off, but be aware of this as a possible problem, and maybe not confined to Clarks which is usually a decent quality, value for money brand.
