I recommend this product
ConsLittle bit fiddly to fit first time
ProsValue. Saves drilling a frame. Looks great
I must admit I was doubtful this would work! However pleased to say it’s amazing and pretty simple to fit! I have been restoring a 1986 GT ZASKAR using a later bike as a donor ! So had disc brakes to fit but no fittings on the stays! No problem with this genius little product

It fitted very well with my 26inch old MTB to install disc-break system.
Shipment from UK to Japan was also very smooth.
Good product.

Good product but it could be better! It spins backwards! No tire change possible without removing the whole unit.
Works With Clarcks Cmd-8 But

I recommend this product
Consreverse motion loosening!
Prosworks
works with clarcks cmd8 disc brake system but not perfect.
it adapted on an old rubbish bike frame from decathlon with 2 holes/ears for screws for mudguard close to the axle screw without problem.
however, a small defect needs to be mentionned:
when the brake is to use in reverse direction, the entire device rotates with the brake. therefore, i recommand drilling a hole in the aluminium leg that touches the bike frame and bind it twice together with robust iron wires. it should be modified because the command cable could break.

Steel Frame?
By
13 Nov 2020
Hi, Is there any specific reason why this adapter cannot/advised not to be used with steel frames? The dropouts on the steel frame I might try this on are similar in shape to the example ones seen on website/youtube etc. If not, do you have any similar devices? Thank you
Hello, Please contact the manufacturer directly for further information. We belive it is because steel frames usually have thin gauge tubing and using this can permanently damage the tubes when clamped.

Retro-fitting Disc brake to a Tandem
By
29 Mar 2019
Hi, I want to fit a secondary rear disc brake to my Tandem. Will this adapter work with the Halo Spin Doctor 48h disc hub and the Clark SX Skeletal brake system?
The tandem has an alloy frame.

Thanks.
We could not recommend without knowing the frame / having it in person to test fit.

Compatible With A Steel Frame?

I know this is fine with an aluminium frame, but what about a steel frame? Is there another adaptor available?
Hello,

We would not recommend using this with a steel frame.

Thanks.

Hi, this is not wheel size specific. So should fit your frame.
Hi, Will This Fit Any Mtb Frame Regardless Of Dropout?
By

Hi,

This adapter is designed to fit alloy/aluminium frames with standard vertical dropouts, even then as this is a universal adapter there is no guarantee it will fit all frames anyway I'm afraid.

Thanks.
Which Disc Adaptor Can I Install On My Giant Rock4500?
By
01 Aug 2014
My frame is vbrake type and I want to install disc brake on the rear.
At the moment I have only brakes on the front. Which disc adaptor can I order from you? Please advise. Thanks.
Hi,

This is the only disc brake adapter of this sort we stock. As it is designed for alloy frames it should be suitable for use on your bike, but as we've never tested it on a Giant I can't say for sure I'm afraid. Please be aware that you will need a new disc specific hub.

Thanks.
