Are instructions correct?

Hi I have already bought these and am having trouble installing. The Dia-Compe instructions don't seem clear as the Rear L and Rear L in Fig C seem to me confused. Is this correct?
Also are all washer parts necessary for all bosses - i'm presuming mine are standard but I can't a snug fit nor proper spring tension.
this is correct, brake pads for the rear used need to be reversed as seen in the instructions. Essentially this means running the R pad on the left and the L pad on the right when installed as a rear caliper.

Will these brakes work on a 1985 Nishiki Cresta ?

The bike came with Dia-Compe 981's w/ one spring hole. Can these be used with that or do they need three holes.

These will fit with the single hole but set up may be slightly trickier.

Yes the toe in angle can be adjusted.

These use standard road brake caliper pads such as - SJS Cycles part number : 20499
