This is a much better brake hanger than the Tektro equivalent. Its swan neck shape easily clears the lower headrace bearing. It's more rigid too. The Shimano CX50 brakes on my bike are much improved, even with the standard brake blocks.

sizes of cable hanger

What are the dimensions for front origin 8 cable hanger mainly from hole centre to cable holder. Is it taller than a Tektro hanger.

Would this item do the same job as Tektro 1277A Front Brake Cable Hanger?

Would this item do the same job as Tektro 1277A Front Brake Cable Hanger with Adjuster with the advantage of having a catcher for the brake straddle wire but without the ability to adjust?

looking for a fork/crown break hanger for canti breaks that will clear my lower head race bearing. from fork surface to head race bearing i have 10mm.thanks

Thank you for your enquiry. Having checked the item it should provide you with the 10mm clearance required however without having the bike here it is difficult to provide a 100% guarantee.

I would like to mount a cable adjuster in the hole on the hanger. What do you suggest?
