can i use the 46490 brake booster like an old mavic brake post converter

I want to to adapt 28" brake post to work with a 26" MTB wheel

SJS Customer Service:

These are designed as a Brake Booster, to stiffen things up and reduce loss to flex.You may be able to use this to convert but we could not advise it.

Hi, can this brake booster be used with CX forks and mini-V brakes? Concerned about the width. Thanks.
