Not a very easy part to find, so glad you had it. Full marks to SJS. As for Shimano's decision to include one set of bolts and to set the price so high if you needed different ones - not so happy, and it's not something you want to bodge...

Are there special bolts for front caliper fixing to fork?

For Ultegra BR-8070.
Yes- you will need to use a specific fixing bolt. Fixing bolt C is for the rear caliper only.

Can't I use regular brake caliper torx bolt instead of these shimano parts?

I can't see why I would need these special type of bolts for fixing a flat mount rear caliper. I currently use Sram Rival and the rear caliper bolts are m6*22 from my local hardware store. Won't they work for shimano as well?
We would recommend that you use these parts for fixing a flat-mount rear calliper to your frame.

Hi there- apologies if this is asking the obvious but just checking. I've measured the chain stay at 2cm and the total bolt length is 45mm inc the non threaded section for the clip. Is this the correct bolt?

The threaded section is 26mm, the overall is 39.5mm

Shimano states that when using these to fit the R160 adaptor you should also use these washers - Y8NU02000
