ConsVery tight to fit with mudguards, but that might be my wheel/frame choice.

ProsFit straight on mods to frame needed
Been thinking of upgrading the brakes on my single speed for a while. Plenty of room for mudguards and clearance on an 80's Dawes frame with 700c wheels was fine.

ProsA great upgrade for an older bike, especially if you want to use 700c wheels
I bought these to fit to a Raleigh frame built for 27" wheels in which I am using 700c wheels. They work great, and look great, and I didn't have to drill the frame.
Very pleased indeed!

ProsDon’t have to drill your frame.
I bought these to improve the brakes on a classic road bike without having to drill the frame. That improvement is excellent and they look good too.

I got these to replace the old and corroded brakes on my 80s peugeot frame. They fitted perfect, and gave a massive improvement in braking performance! Would highly recommend them.

Hi there,

This should work absolutely fine, however, as we have never done this we cannot say for certain I'm afraid. In terms of cable, something like part #38075 should work fine.

Are recessed allen bolts available for conversion?

I bought these from you but I need convert them for the recessed allen nuts. I did that years ago with Campy SR brakes so I am hoping that it is possible with these.
Search our site for "shimano Pivot Bolt" anything priced less than £20 will fit the brake, select the cheapest that appears to be the correct length for your crown. RT 05/07/19

You would simply need to measure up the arm length needed or test fit the brakes, we do not have a suitable mule to test these on unfortunately.

Hi,

With the spacers removed and measured from the back of the brake to the end of the bolt, the rear bolt is 29mm long and the front is 47mm long.
