These hinge clamps come in small plastic bag, no instructions. OK, they are fairly self-explanatory but given that they are £92, the manufacturers could make a bit more of an effort to justify their massive margins!
They fit easily enough (my B is a current Black Edition, the steerer one is the easiest.
For those asking whether the frame clamp works if you have the Brompton toolkit in the frame, the answer is “yes, but only just”. To avoid interference I omitted one washer to allow the stop screw to be screwed slightly further in to the main bolt. I suspect the manufacturers didn’t check this.
In use the clamps do the job, in that the clamp is always properly aligned (why the hell do Brompton not just do this?). However, the levers do not have enough mass to allow you to spin them closed. Perhaps they will loosen up. But this doesn’t really matter, because when set up correctly you only need a couple of turns to tighten them.
