Suitable for M type handlebars with aluminium or 30deg plastic brake levers (with closed clevis).

For bicycles where front brake is right hand lever.

Will this be suitable for an April 2005 bike (serial number 05040...) with original brake levers?

I understand the brake levers have changed over the years but I am struggling to find any detail on the older model bikes. My bike has the original handlebars and brake levers it came with when I bought it in 2005. (It does have M-type handlbars and the front brake is the right hand brake.)

Are any special tools needed to change the brake cable? And are there any instructions available, either with the cable or elsewhere?

Hi there,

Yes this will be suitable.

You will simply need a 10mm spanner, cable cutters to trim the inner cable excess and something to crimp the cable end on.

Instructions are provided within the packaging of the product.
