What are the differences between this and no. 42913. (Except for the strips)

I am going to change cable for my derrailleur on my 6 speed LWB pre 2017. Is this the correct cable for that?

You require 31239 if you have the gear shifters above the handlebars and 42913 for shifters below the bars.
