These Cable Oilers are designed to be fitted to both gear and brake cables to make maintenance super quick and easy. Regular cleaning and lubrication will improve gear and brake function, and greatly increase your cable lifespan.

By moving the O ring out of the groove and along the outer cable they allow your inner cables to be easily cleaned and lubricated using and aerosol dispensed lube such as WD40 or GT85.
Rolling the O ring back onto the oiler seals the lubricating hole.

2.2mm hole for 2mm tubes.
Very light at 1 gram each.
3 in a pack.

ProsVery well made
On my Boardman the rear brake is a mech disc. The cable to it comes from under the stay and enters the caliper almost vertical. This superb piece of design means rain water runs down the cable and corrodes it on the inside. Using this little oiler allows me to have a separate piece of outer cable for the last six inches. When it corrodes I just replace this last piece. I have thrown the o-ring away and use the hole for a drain (aimed down). In summary - a superbly made little gadget that allows you to join pieces of outer brake cable.

Cable splitter & stop?

Based on the review & q&a this seems to also work as a cable stop & cable splitter.
Is this correct?
The Oilers are designed to be fitted inline with the brake or gear outer cable, if you needed to join two sections of outer cable then they would be suitable for that purpose. SK
Does one use ferrule/cable outer end caps with this?
