Gear cable connector with single grub screw. Top quality, aluminium. Accept one open end, and one gear nipple.
Accepts 1.1mm or 1.3mm gear wire.

ConsA little pricy with postage

ProsSimple design, does job well

Nicely designed and made. Bought to replace an existing one where the grub screw had seized (the old one was at least 8 years old). Recommend adding a bit of grease or copper slip to the grub screw thread to prevent this.

Is it possible/safe to use this with brake cables as well as gear cables?

.. I have a separable tandem with mechanical disc brakes, currently using hook/eye connectors for all 4 cables

Can this be used when an outer is present?

I want to use a cable splitter so I can remove the handlebars from the frame. This requires the cable splitter to be placed in a run of cable with inner and outer. Would this splitter work in this situation?

SJS Customer Service:

Hi, no. This splitter clamps onto the inner cable wire. If the outer cable are butted up against it the inner cable will not be able to move and the brakes or gears will not work. Thanks 15/05/2019
