Brake cable connector with two opposed grub screws. Top quality, aluminium. Accept one open end, and one pear brake nipple.
Accepts 1.6mm brake wire.

ProsEase of fitting/Strength

These are just what I needed to replace the 20 year old originals on my S&S fitted Roberts bike. They actually will give a more confident feel and fit because they have two grub screws to squeeze onto the gear/brake cables instead of the originals which had one.

ProsEasier wheel removal

The connector was fitted to make the removal of the rear wheel without disconnecting the cable from the drum brake linkage and rethreading the cable, so far untested but in principle is fine.

The short or the long brake cable splitter?

You sell two different jtek brake cable splitters - a short one and a longer one. I will soon have cantilever brakes on my s&s coupler Thorn. Can I order either one? And where is the best place place to put the splitter? I have had trouble with loose cables scratching up the paint when packing the bike in the past. Thanks

The best one to use is the longer version, this one comes with a rubber O'ring on each end to help reduce chipping, you will also need stepped ferrules for the cable outer part 19852 or 5267, the splitter should be located between the two cable stops either side of the coupling.
