An alloy version of Tortec's stainless steel Epic pannier rack. The Epic Alloy offers a lighter version of the steel racks' robust, streamlined design.

Supplied with long and short seat stay mounts to cover the maximum bike frame size range. Also supplied with disc mount kit for disc equipped bikes (carrying capacity is unaffected when using this kit).

Consmudguard clearance of rear light support
Proslight weight and sturdy
Excellent, light weight and sturdy rack. It comes with two alternative stays of different lengths, each of which can be slid back & forth along the top of the track, to adjust its reach. My only complaint is that the metal fitting to support a light at the back of the rack is too low down. On my medium sized, mens hybrid bike, it touches its conventional mudguard, so they bang together making a noise when my bike goes over a bump.

tube diameter

In a review it says this is made of 6mm road but it looks more like 10mm tube in the photos

I can confirm that the tubing diameter to this alloy rear rack is 10mm - 10.5mm across all supporting struts.

This rack will work with wheel sizes up to 700c/29", 27x1 1/4 will be fine. SK 04/01/24

If you had a vertical line through running through the bottom attachment hole of the rack as if it was attached to the bike, what would the length be from this vertical line to the edge of the front of the rack platform?

Distance between horizontal bars?

Hi there, i’m wondering what the vertical distance beweeen the pannier mounting rail and the bar that runs parallel near the mounting bolts is? I’m planning to use this with ortlieb front panniers so i’m wondering if the bottom rail will be in a difficult place.
The distance is 240mm.

Hi there,

This is probably not a suitable rack, but it will depend entirely on the bike itself, best option would be to speak to a local bike shop, with the bike, so they can see the mountings / size of the frame etc.

What is the width size between the 2 bottom eyelets? The tortec ultra lite is too narrow.

I have a dynamo rear light whose mounting bolts are spaced 80mm apart
Hi,

The mounting holes are oval to allow for fitting of lights with mounting bolts spaced between 50 and 80mm apart so your light will fit fine.

What is the length of the rack's legs ? (From mounting bolt centre to underside of rack top)
