This is the set you will need to fit a rack to Brompton that has never had a rack fitted or where the rack and fittings have become really badly damaged. This includes a replacement rear mudguard as rack Bromptons have a different mudguard blade with most of its support coming from the carrier rather than the stays on non rack Bromptons. Suplied with all fixings, rollers, shock cords and a rear reflector.

Eazy wheel fittings now designed to take M6 bolts.

ConsLoss of easy parking facility when rack loaded

ProsEasy to fit, folded bike rolls much better

Easily fitted to my 20 year old Brompton without removing the back wheel (thanks for the tip on another review). Great to have extra carrying capacity. An added bonus is the ease with which the folded bike rolls along even with these 'ordinary' wheels.

ConsAdds weight to bike, Lacking clear instructions, better if came with easy wheels.

ProsQuality, fittings included, Adds carrying option,

Quality stuff. Bought and installed it on a L model. You don't really have to take the rear wheel off to install it. Reused all the bolts and nuts from the bike. Only needed additional ones to fix the rear fender tab to the rack and to mount the rear reflector. Get the easy wheels and rubber bung to make the install all the better.

I recommend this product

You will be surprised how large objects can be carried on this rack! The bugees are useful: if you fix them crossed, even a small foodbox will stay tight, or you can fix them to the seat to hold a large box.

I bought a bike from SJS with the rack fitted but the screw attaching the rack to the mudguard has fallen out. Could you tell me what size I need to buy as I live too far away to call in.

Do I Need An Additional Bracket For Backlight?

If I want to add a rear battery light, do I need to order the mounting brackets as well, or do I just have to replace the reflector?

You could just replace the reflector, as long as the spacing between the mounts is 50mm.
