ConsNeed setting up correctly

Been looking for ways to extend the gear range on my Campagnolo 11 speed set up. Was 12 29 with 39 53 chainset. Found this and have upgraded to 11 30 with 34 50. The quality and finish is great, neat features to keep the weight down, runs smoothly.

When fitting this make sure you run the chain slack on the 11 34 combination to avoid overstretching the rear mec if you hit the 30 50 combination. Once set up it runs across the whole range even though you are unlikely to use these extremes.

Super upgrade for a comitted Campagnolo 11 speed MAMIL looking to clear all the hills.

Hi, that depends on your current setup. If you have a long cage derailleur then it's likely. You will probably need to extend your chain, you may need a derailleur hanger extender. Thanks 27/01/2020
Website answers contradict - re: 12-32

On your website, answers to questions 1 and 3 contradict each other, if I have a 34/50 compact crankset will a short cage derailleur work with the 12-32 cassette or will I have to buy a medium or long cage version?

You should be able to use the short cage without an issue, however, as we have never tried this we cannot say for certain I'm afraid.

Can I use this with 2015 Campagnolo super record set up?

I have a 2015 Super Record groupset presently with front cog 54/30 and rear 11/19 (with short rear derailleur). Can I substitute the rear campy cassette for an IRD 12-32 one without needing to make any other changes? Will gear changes still work well? Thanks
The derailleur will be way past its limit trying to reach a 32t so no this will not be suitable.

If you do not know the weight of this specific cassette, please weigh one or provide a standard reference for another cassette.
Is the Cog Pitch exactly the same as Campagnolo? What is the cog material?
Hi,

This cassette weighs 357 grams in the 12-32 ratio. The cog pitch is the same as Campagnolo. The cogs are nickel-chrome plated steel fixed onto alloy spiders.

Will A Medium Short Cage Rear Mech Work With The 12/32 Cassette

Hi,

A medium cage derailleur will be able to cope fine with a 12-32t cassette, providing you're not running a triple front chainset then a short cage derailleur should also be okay with a 12-32t cassette.

Running Chorus Groupset 50/34 with 12/29.
Want to put on the IRD 12/32 Elite
Hi,

Although we have never fitted one here, these cassettes are designed to be compatible with all Campagnolo groupsets. We have sold these cassettes for a large number of years and we have never heard of anyone having a compatibility issue.
