Can I use with a 110mm/74mm double crankset?
By Robert Lawrence
21 Feb 2021
I've a Sugino OX2-901D Compact Plus which uses five arm 110mm/74mm, but Sugino no longer make an inner ring smaller than 30t. I'd like to use a 28t or 26t inner ring for heavy duty touring. Would this work? Thanks.

Hi,
From the centre of one bolt to the centre of the next nearest bolt is 43.5mm. As it is an inner ring it will be fine for use with a 6spd chain.
Thanks.

SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
As the BCD is the same for this chainring as your chainset then you should be fine fitting this to your Campagnolo chainset.
Thanks.

Hi,
Please could you advise me if this chainring is compatible with my 10 speed shimano 105 hollowtech triple? Its a 50/39/30 at the moment and I have a 12/30 cassette and 105 sti shifters fitted . The rear dérailleur is a medium cage 105 and the front is also a matching 105. Its fitted to a 1987 Raleigh Randonneur but I now find hills when loaded on tour harder at my age ! Dont want to order if its wrong so I would appreciate your advice.
Kind Regards,
Mike.

Hi,
This chainring will fit to your 105 chainset and be compatible with 105 10spd. The only thing to keep in mind though is that the smaller you go from the size of the original chainring the worse the shifting will be as your front derailleur will struggle to cope with such a large jump.
Thanks.
