I recommend this product
Not as good as the Thorn Ring I had previously from SJS as the crank clamp bolt recesses are slighly smaller so the bolts i have only just fit.
Great product

Can I use this for a Rohloff Speedhub
By
23 Jun 2024
Hi, I have a Stronglight single ring chainset with 42 teeth, coupled with a Rohloff 16 teeth sprocket. The number on the arm of the chainset is 1505 and 170. This ring looks exactly the same but would like confirmation or guidance.
Without knowing the BCD of the chain set I cannot confirm this will work. SK 24/06/24

Shimano Exage SG-X triple chain-set
By
20 May 2020
I have a Shimano Exage SG-X triple chain-set from the early 90s (46t-36t-26t), 7 speed cassette. Would this work as a replacement for the middle 36t ring?
This is really your only option, if you have front indexing the shift may not be so slick but Exage rings have long gone. Rt
Will this fit a SJSC 110 PCD Alloy Single/Double Crankset 175mm
By

Yes, this would fit.

Are these definitely 11spd compatible?
By
10 Jul 2019
All other retailers for this product say 10 speed.

Thanks.
Hi there,

This would only be suitable for up to 10spd.

Thanks.
39teeth inner work well with 52 teeth outer on double chainset?
By
10 Jul 2019
Hi there,

This combination will work absolutely fine.

Thanks.
just to clarify

I posted a question earlier today about fitting one of these as inside chainring to Sora 9 speed double chainset, but I don't think I made it clear that I wanted to replace the Shimano 34t ring with the Stronglight 36t ring. There does not seem to be a Shimano equivalent 36t ring.
Hi, I believe you need a 110BCD 4 arm ring for Sora 9 speed, but you will need to check. 24270 is 110 5 arm so will not fit. Thanks 29/04/2019
You have answer saying this chainring is compatible with 7 speed. Is that right?
By

If not can you point me to a silver, 110mm bcd, 38 teeth middle ring compatible with a 7 speed cassette?
Hi There,

Yes, this should work with 7 speed.

Thanks.
I want to change my Shimano RSX middle chainring from a 36 to a 39 tooth.
By

Will your part number 24270T39 be a direct replacement and be ok with the RSX triple sis lever.
Hello,

As we do not stock many shimano RSX parts we cannot say whether this will be a direct replacement. It should be compatible as long as the BCD is the same as what you already own. However we have never tried this so we cannot say for certain.

Thanks.
Can I use this on 7 speed
By
01 Aug 2017
I would like to replace an old Miche crankset on a 1990s Bianchi. It has a 7 speed cassette which I would like to keep.
I am thinking:
SJSC 110 pcd double crankset
Stronglight 110pcd outer chainring 50T
Stronglight 110pcd inner chainring 36T

Would this work with a 7 speed cassette? If not, any ideas?

Many thanks

Hi, we think this would work if you use Stronglight rings as you suggest. Thanks.
Will This Work With Shimano 105 10 Speed..

Dural Chainrings
By
14 Oct 2014
Hello. Will this Dural Stronglight ring (46 outer) fit the Stronglight Compact 48/34 chainset (SJSC part number 18491A1) I want to change the outer to a 46 for touring. Thanks.
Hi,

Yes this chainring will fit that chainset. You may have to adjust your front derailleur and it may not shift perfectly over the smaller gap though.

Thanks.
