Will this fit a standard Brompton spider crankset?

I note in the description it says it is to be used with the JK crankset. Can the bolts be undone so that the chainring and guard can be fitted to a standard Brompton spider crank? Thanks

Thank you for your enquiry, yes they will swap over all ok, as they are both 130mm bcd

Does JK make replacement chain-ring only without guard?

I want to replace my original Brompton spider and crank set for the JK one. I wondering though how easy it is to source the spares parts once they are worn out. I have not seen a JK replacement chain-ring only anywhere on the internet. Does it mean I need to buy the whole Chainring with Guard & Spider every time I need to replace the chain?

Hi, currently JK don't do spare chain rings. However should you need to replace one they are 130 BCD so there are many other manufacturers that will fit. You do not need to replace the chain ring every time you replace the chain. You need to change the rear sprocket with the chain as part of your regular maintenance, then the chain ring will last 10 to 20 times longer the chain. Thanks 17/12/19

Does the Joseph Kuosac 60t chain wheel guard fit comfortably on a Brompton?

Or is the 58T better bet?
I am wondering if 60T just fits, whether there is still room for the chain guard?

SJS Customer Service:

Generally 60t chain rings fit fine, on some bikes you need to run a 122mm bottom bracket to clear the chain stay when folded and on some bikes you may need to modify the front hook slightly. With the bash guard, its going to push the stay slightly making the front wheel fold a tight fit, but it should work.
