The reasonably light Surly Stainless Steel Chainring is well made, fits perfectly and looks good. Should last a long time. Most importantly it fits my intended use with a Hebie Chainglider.

I recommend this product

I bought it to replace the original chainring on my Raven which was running very roughly after 23,000 miles. It has very much improved the feel but whether it will be better than the original I won't know for another 20,000 miles. One warning. I found it needed slightly shorter chainring bolts than the original ones.

Can I put this on triple chainset..not just single ring?

SJS Customer Service:

Not really, as there are no ramps to aid in shifting. While it may work- it's certainly not recommended.

Thickness

How thick is this chain ring? I have your own version the Thorn one which is 5mm and slightly too thick for a Hebie Chain Glider although my Thorn one looks terrible as it is well worn away around the edge. If this ring is thinner this would be the better choice to use with the Hebie Chainglider.
