ConsNeed to buy 2 to fit my bike
ProsPerfect fit
Perfect replacement for an Elektra Townie, as long as you buy another (120 links needed due to the flay-foot technology).
Best get 3, since the mud on the roads due to 4x4 drivers verge churning will likely destroy this regardless of how often you clean and regrease

ProsCheap, sturdy
Great value singlespeed chain. Used for 1970’s Raleigh 3-speed. Seems sturdy so hoping for decent miles. Need chain tool to fit as chain supplied with one rivet attached to an outside plate that needs pushing through. Need to do a bit of tweaking to ensure link doesn’t bind.

SJS Customer Service:
We need to know the SG code on your hub before we can confirm this- and if you are running 3/32 chain or a 1/8 chain.

How Is This Chain "Joined"?
By MIKE ARMSTRONG

i.e. on fitting, how are the ends joined? Is it by way of a power link similar to SRAM chains, or is a special tool required?
Thanks
Mike Armstrong

SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
The joining of this chain requires a single speed specific chain tool as it is a wider gage than a geared chain. A suitable tool is SJSC part number 31299.
Thanks.
