What does one-time really mean?

Hi, description says one time use only, then says use a new one with a new chain. Sort of implies that it is reusable in the sense I can take a chain off, clean it or whatever, then put it back with the same link. Can you clarify? Ta.

It means if you fit it more than once you risk weakening the link and the chain snapping while riding.
