These are designed for older style steel cranks, they reduce the crank length by around 20mm, they can not be fitted to alloy cranks without severe modification.

ProsCheapest solution for short tandem cranks
Very useful thing, made the back of my tandem suitable for a 9 year old.

As it says on the information, they do need serious modification to work with alloy cranks, but it is possible if you're confident working with metal and take your time.

Attaching bolts thread length

Are the threads of the bolts that attach the shorteners to the cranks threaded all the way to the hex head? Thanks

We only supply the sets of 3, for replacement you can either buy a set of 3 again or use something from Middleburn or TA Specialities.
