Sometimes a combination of load, climate and terrain demands a bit more braking performance than a rim brake LHT provides. That's where the Disc Trucker comes in. It's a Long Haul Trucker with 51 mm IS caliper mounts instead of rim brake mounts on the frame and newly redesigned fork.

4130 CroMoly, lugged and brazed. Proprietary sloping crown with threaded eyelets, tapered curved blades with mid-blade rack eyelets, dual dropout eyelets.

- Tyre Clearance: 42 mm with fenders, 45 mm without fenders. (Individual tyre and rim combos affect tyre clearance)
- Rake: 45 mm
- A-C: 390 mm
- Steerer: 350mm

Spare bolts

Hi,

Do you stock the bolts to attach SKS mudguards to the Surly Disc Trucker Frameset? The threads on the ones supplied with the mudguards are too wide.

Would this be suitable to use with a 2013 Genesis Croix de Fer?

I am doing a flatbar conversion on one of my older frames and the existing fork tube is not long enough. Would this be a suitable fork substitute?

This is going to be pretty similar,just double check the a-c, rake etc to make sure your happy that any differences wont be a negative affect on the handling etc.

I have a surly big dummy fork on the bicycle at the moment. It should swap over no problem?

As long as the dimensions are suitable it will swap over fine, but the big dummy is a much burlier fork.

Any Other Parts Needed?

Hi, replacing my fork on on-one pompino and aside from new fork, front wheel and disc brake components are there any other parts I need to add to the fork to be set up? There is already a headset installed. Not sure if I need to add a crown race or if one comes with the fork? Thanks Eugene

Hi,

The only thing you would need to think about extra is the crown race, the fork doesn't come with one so you would either need to swap the crown race over from your previous forks or get another crown race that matches your current headset.
