Wanting to simplify, and minimise complexity and cost, I decided to revert to the tech I used in the Sixties, and I was not disappointed. The product means I can use any of my cassettes without faff, or without buying brake levers etc. My Campag Super Record, with a Wolf's Tooth, well covers from 11 to 30. I think now I'll try an eleven cassette with a 32 bottom. Great product make cycling easier to maintain and service.

I was surprised how good these levers worked on my 10 speed Campagnolo set up. It’s a pity these weren’t available when down tube friction levers were the norm.

Really nice well made item. Looks the business on classic style bike. Simple light action gear shifts and works with any gear, no worries about indexing which is brilliant if you want to mix gear systems. Easy to set up and operate.

These give beautifully accurate gear shifts and promote harmony between rider and bike. Simple to setup as your derailleur can be tensioned by preference for greater lever travel or faster changes. You feel more connected with your bike as you feel your way through the gears.

I will be buying these or the other friction models from Dia-Compe for all bikes I end up owning. These shifters are a huge upgrade on indexed alternatives!
