Do you ever find a requirement for drop handlebar mounted gear shifters, but struggle to match the many various index shifting systems, or simply have a retro style bike that you would feel could benefit from more convenient gear lever positioning?
Dia-Compe's owner, Kozo Yoshigai has created a retro innovation: ENE Wing Shift levers combine the convenience of handlebar mounted shifters with retro style non-indexed shifting control.
The "Wing" design allows you to thumb activation, whilst the Power Ratchet mechanism allows a light action when pulling against the gear mech springs.
- Drop handlebar mounted
- Non-indexed friction system works with Shimano and Campagnolo
- Multi-gear compatible up to 11 speed
- Thumb operated Wing design
- Power Ratchet light action levers
- Lightweight forged alloy lever
- 22-24mm Handlebar band clamp
- Each shifter will protrude 45mm from the edge of the handlebar

Rear mech compatibility
By Ross
08 Oct 2020
Hi Sorry do you know if these would be compatible with a shimano dyns rear mech or a sram rear mech? I have used friction shifts on road mechs and the older pre dyns shimano rear mechs but not on the new dyns shift mechs.
thanks

Hello, this should work with any rear mech up to 11 speed- however we have not fitted this to confirm an optimum compatibility.
With a 44cm wide drop bar..

With a 44cm wide drop bar, would an ortlieb handlebar bag (ultimate 5 with the side mesh) get in the way of these levers?
Or I can measure at home. How far do the levers stick out?

SJS Customer Service:
Each shifter will stick out 45mm, we think its unlikely to have enough clearance with a bar bag.

By Pontus Wallman
23 Aug 2019
Hi,
Is it possible to use this on a flatbar as well?
Im looking for any friction shifter that can be used as a thumbies (with or without special mount) as well on a drop bar (separately or like the Ird Power ratchet lever).
For a) I want friction shifting and b) wanna be able to swap between bara more easily.
Best,

Hi there,
You should, in theory, be able to use these shifters on flat bars, however, we have never done this so we cannot say for certain I'm afraid.
Thanks.
