Includes fittings for both 22 and 24mm bars.

Beautifully crafted twist shifter for use with Rohloff 500/14 Internal Gear Hubs.

The shifter is made in three parts to allow fitting on drop bars and other bars with curves. It can be mounted on a classic MTB bar.

Removing the cables is very simple. Disconnecting the cables does not require that the shifter be disassembled.

Gear changes are very easy, thanks to the ergonomic shape of the twist shifter. Full CNC Aluminum construction.

Little improvement on standard shifter

ConsMore difficult to grip and control than the original fitting

ProsLooks elegant

I have had this on my Thorn Raven Tourer for a number of years now, but I’ve ordered the rubber coated original changer. I find the small plastic window (to show what gear I’m in) hard and difficult to see. The same plastic sleeve wrapped around the shifter is flimsy and quite sharp to cut your finger on.

The grip is not that easy to move and in anything like wet weather it can be a real nuisance. It also needs a lot of pressure to rotate the gear change and I am looking forward to my delivery of the rubber coated replacement I’ve ordered from SJS. These things are all about personal choice but I feel these are over engineered and over priced.
