Proseasy to fit

As usual with SJS the part arrived in good time. This is the second time I have replaced the deraileur in the 9 year life of the bike.

The one i replaced had a slot head screw holding the two piece

This item rep[laced my original one perfectly. I was not sure I had the right one as I did not understand the code but it matched the old one and had an improved pivot bolt that does not come loose in use. I'm amazed I can get any Brompton part at a click.

Can I use this with SRC5 Sturmey Archer?

I tried using other chain tensioners but had problems running out axle space. I hope the Brompton association might solve this.

Chain tensioner- easy to fit? Is it a case of just screw the new one on? Is it pre tensioned?

SJS Customer Service:

The tensioners are pre sprung, you just need to fold them back, they can be fiddly if you are without practise or have smaller hands. You simply need to hold the tensioner folded, and guide the axle through the hole, and link the chain onto the idler wheels.
