This Screw can also be used on the following shifters:
- Shimano Deore SL-M6100-I I-Spec EV
- Shimano Deore SL-M5100-I I-Spec EV
- Shimano Deore SL-M5100
- Shimano Deore SL-M4100-I I-Spec EV
- Shimano Deore SL-M4100
These are an "A" match which indicates that the parts are the same in materials, appearance, finish & size etc.
If the correct Screw is unavailable you can also use the screw from the following shifters:
- Shimano SLX SL-M7100-I I-Spec EV
- Shimano SLX SL-M7100
These are a "B" match which indicates that the parts are usable, but differ in materials, appearance, finish & size etc.

Desperately, looking for a replacement screw that fell out of my gearshift last weekend, and it’s proving to be very challenging to purchase here in Australia without buying an entire new shifter. I just buy the screw through your website but a 20 pound shipping fee to Australia is pretty ludicrous so I have found this old shifter on Facebook marketplace but from looking at your description above it doesn’t sound like the nut would exist in this model, correct? Thank you for your enquiry. I can confirm that the screws used on the SL-M610 are not the same as the newer SL-M6100 shifter so would not be compatible.
