Even though it is a new part, it is not out place with all the retro gear on my Vitus 979. Only now can I rebuild it to the standards I wanted 25 years ago when I bought the original bike. You could not get these 25 years ago!

My frame is steel with traditional gear bosses..can I use these with Dura Ace SL-7900 DT shifters instead of Y-643 38101. You used to have those but you must have sold your last pair?
Yes you can use it, however it will not fit the shape of the frame too well. SK 28/11/23

Will this boss cover allow me to use my Dura Ave 7 speed indexed levers on the brazed on bosses on a vintage Raleigh SBDU frame? Or even a late 70's MKM for that matter?

Hi, Would those be compatible with SL7900 (10 speed) down tube shifters? The ones supplied with the levers are curved and do not fit the bosses of a Cannondale CAAD3. Thanks.

I have recently bought from you a set of Paul C. thumbies and I wonder if this boss cover will work with bar end shifters.
Hi,

You don't need the lever boss cover to use bar-end shifters with the Paul C thumbies, they have been designed around bar-end shifters. This lever boss cover is designed to convert down tube shifters to the same fixing as bar-end shifters.
