This Outer Plate & Fixing Bolt can only be used with Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 11 speed Medium Cage (GS) rear derailleurs.

Jockey wheel bolt holes center to center: 88mm

Can I use this to convert an R8000?

Can I use this to convert an R8000 with SS cage to a GS, or do I need to purchase a complete new GS derailleur?

Thank you for your enquiry, you should be able to make the conversion with this outer plate plus the inner plate which is our item number 46581. I hope this helps.

The two are different, you will need the R8050 cage, part number 46958
