Xtr M972 P Tension Spring
By HowardMoxon

The tension has gone on my xtr m972 rear mech, so it now does not take up the chain slack. Before I shell out for another rear mech would a new P tension spring solve the problem.
This also happened to me in the alps last year. When I got home I stripped it down re greased and hey presto has worked a treat up till now. But a strip down and re assemble this time has not solved it. Please advise.
Kind Regards
