ConsMetal fatigue

ProsVery comfortable

These were the original bars on the bike from SJSC and have done about 60,000kms, at times being put under significant stress.
They've just failed from metal fatigue - I'm not sure if this is to be expected or not.
They were very comfortable and for that I'd recommend them.

I needed to replace my existing handlebars for ones compatible with STIs, so these were ideal.

My stem is 31.8 dia for the bars - do you have shims to cater for the 25mm bars

What Is The Width At The Point Where The Brakes Are Mounted?

Hi, Please can you let me know the width (c-c) of the 440mm bars at the point where the brake levers are mounted. I note that some bars are splayed and so narrower at this point than the advertised width. Thanks.
