I recommend this product
Consnormal bar end plugs will not fit.
Pros5*******************
These are great bars and it is hard to find 25.4 clamp bars now, however just be aware that they are a very thick internal section and normal end plugs will not fit.
Excellent upgrade.

ConsNone.
ProsComfort, handling is improved immeasurably.
I have an early 1990s MTB now configured as a touring/ commuter bike. I have installed this Ritchey Riser bar using a Ahead stem attached to a Quill Stem Adaptor. The additional width, height and sweep back I now have is a revelation in comparison to the narrower flat bar previously installed. A final word, Ritchey products are of superb quality and these bars are no exception.

ConsOnly useful with bolt-on clamps
ProsNone
These handlebars are sold for a "classic" mountain bike restoration, but early 90s classic mountain bikes will have a quill stem which incorporates the clamp, meaning the handlebars need to be threaded through the clamp (rather than the clamp being bolted on as with modern bikes). Those classic mountain bikes came with flat bars, likely for that reason.

I realised too late that the rise on these handlebars mean they physically won't thread through the clamp on my early 90s Trek, despite my best efforts to lever the clamp open. Unfortunately in the process I damaged the finish on the handlebars. My fault for not thinking first, but even so £35 down the drain!

Unless you have a stem with a bolt-on clamp I would avoid these handlebars.

No fault with SJS Cycles communication, packaging and delivery.

Ergon grips?

Are these compatible with GP5's ? And given the comment about smaller internal diameter supply you indicate the measurement please? I wish to put a mirror on
The ID of the bar is 14mm, it would be tight but the grips should fit with some effort. SK 13/11/24
Width of centre clamp portion?

I need to clamp a Topeak handlebar bag bracket to the centre section. The bracket width is 83mm. My stem is the “Bolt On” type (25.4).
The flat are either side of the stem clamp is 85mm, using your mount with these bars should be possible. SK 02/02/23
