Details

Soma love bringing back obscure designs. The original Lauterwasser bars were hand made by English Olympic cyclist and cycling engineer Jack Lauterwasser in the 1930's. We updated it to accept modern 25.4mm stems and mountain bike style grips and levers. With its shallow drop, there is no excuse not to ride in the drops.

ProsExceptional quality

Have waited a while for these handlebars to become available and so glad they did. The quality is superb, super high gloss chrome. They work so well with my Pashley Guvnor. Great service again from SJS.

ProsNot too heavy. Look fab. Good steeering

Great bars. Look similar to moustache bars, (which I have also owned)but these are much more comfortable , and the steering feels more stable .

Also, the straight area where the grips fit -before the bend starts- is usefully long. 165mm approx. This means fitting grips and levers is easily possible
Anyway, they’re staying on my bike

What is the length of the straight section for grips and levers please ? in mm please
