ConsHeavier than identical price Brompton Aluminium Headset

ProsStandard fit

This headset is the same as you get on a standard Brompton. I have one of these currently installed and it has worked well for a number of years. I have bought the Aluminium version to replace it as the alu version has a 40-50g weight saving for the cost of £15. Or a 40-50g weight saving for free if you were going to replace the headset anyway.

Alu or steel?

Hi, is this headset made from steel or aluminium? The heading suggests steel but the description says aluminium. If this is the steel one do you stock the alu one and does that one also come in black? What is the weight difference between the two? Many thanks
