Details

- Tapered headset is designed to fit tapered frames (44mm top and 56mm bottom frame diameter) and tapered forks
- Headset uses custom made, replaceable stainless steel bearings to resist corrosion
- The cups, taper ring and crown race (which is split for easy installation and removal) are all machined from 2014 T6 aluminium
- Sealing is achieved through an adjustable taper ring cover and integrated rubber seal
- Can be used with straight 1 1/8" forks with additional conversion crown
- Weight: 128g

ConsQuite expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

ProsHigh Quality, Fits well

Really good quality headset, beautifully finished. Bearing cups are deeper than those I removed from Trek X-Calibre, but pressed in OK and fit really neatly.

The Head Doctor works really well instead of the star nut, but you need to read the instructions to understand how it works. Once you do it's so much easier than bashing in a star nut. I needed to chamfer my steerer tube a little on the inside so that the Head Doctor o-ring fits in without getting damaged.

The headset pulled together really snugly and is very smooth and play free.
