Can I use this with an SLX FH-M678 hub?
By Steve
15 Oct 2020
The Shimano technical docs say that the SLX FH-M678 free hub is an 'A' replacement for this free hub on the XT-M788 hub but does not list compatibility the other way.
SJS Customer Service:
Hello, Im afarid we are inclined to say its non-compatible as we haven't fitted this ourselves to say otherwise.
Thanks,

Thread Pitch Freehub
By vlad

Hello! What diameter of the thread and the thread pitch of this freehub? tnanks
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
The diameter of the threads is 23.8mm. This should not matter though as this freehub body is only designed to fit a specific range of hubs, if your hub is one of the models that uses this type of freehub body then it will definitely fit, if your hub is not then it definitely won't fit.
Thanks.

SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
This freehub body requires a very large but standard allen key to fit. It requires a 15mm allen key. The only one we sell is Shimano's own one which is SJSC part number 33564, any standard 15mm allen key will work though.
Thanks.
