I recommend this product

I replaced this in my 2014 Pashley Roadster Sovereign when the 1st and 2nd gears started to skip. Then I replaced it about 8 more times (span of 6 years) until I realized that the shifter that comes with this particular bike is wrongly calibrated to work correctly with this internal gear assembly. Be sure to purchase the HSJ952 twist shifter if you do not already have it. Other shifters (I've tried the 958 & 959 models) will pull the cable past the 1st gear and cause harm to the gear assembly. I use this bike every work day to commute so it is important to me that it work as it should.

Well packaged and came lubricated, I added a little more of correct grease prior to fitting.Works fine.

Difference from HSX160?

Is the only difference between this and HSX160 the axle length? Can I put these internals into the 28 hole S-RF5 hub body to have a 28 hole SF5 with a full length axle?

From the documents online this seems like the correct replacement for the internals on a X-RD5(W), as it uses a HSX152 which this replaces ?

Hi, I've got a defective HSX152 from a XL-RD5(W). Is this article (HSX158) compatible with my hub shell or would I need a new shell?

This is a suitable replacement for your hub. The HSX158 is actually the updated replacement for the HSX152.

Replacement Interior For Sturmey Archer Ab5 Hub

Does your HSX158 hub interior work with an AB5 hub (5 speed, wide ratio, hub brake)? If not, do you sell these? Otherwise, what newer versions are similar, so I can replace mine without major changes to the bike setup?
