Conssetting mark on chain may rub off ?

This is an extra long toggle chain for the recent 3 speed hub with 8or9 or 10speed casette driver. Similar to Sram dualdrive but cheaper !s

I have a sturmey archer X~RF8 hub and I'm looking for a suitable chain and cable please could you tell me if this is suitable and if not what should I use?

8 Speed Sturmey Archer hubs don't actually use the indicator chains, so you don't need this one.
