Is this cable the right length fo me?
By Trevor Derry
11 Jan 2024
Your Sturmey-Archer cable part-number 19254 looks like what I need for my 1974 Raleigh bike, but I can't make sense of the lengths, despite going to the S-A site. They list HSJ101 as 530 mm and HSJ102 as 1420 mm - are these maybe the sheath and wire cable listed separately? I need both, but your listing is just for HSJ101 (which clearly can't be the length of an entire cable!!). Please enlighten...
SJS Customer Service:
Without knowing the bike we cannot tell what length you need, we recommend you measure the cable needed by tracing the routing and select the appropriate cable from there. SK 12/01/24
I need a replacement cable for a Dahon Metro 3 folder
By Paul Kohn

Will this fit to a TSS33 twist grip shifter? Do you know if the sleeve length will work with a Dahon Metro 3 folder?
SJS Customer Service:
It is possible the cable will fit, it may need trimming to ensure a correct fit, if in doubt seek the advice of a professional mechanic. SK 16/10/23
What gear cable do I need for a SRF5 5 speed hub?
By Murray

Bike is a chinese copy of Pashley sold by Tesco.
SJS Customer Service:
The hub does not dictate which cable you require, that's down to the shifter!

Hi.
I've got a Pashley Princess frame I'm building up for my daughter, can you tell me what length gear cable I need (trigger shifter) as I don't have the original to measure.

We would be unable to tell you as we are not a Pashley dealer / do not have a built Pashley Princess to measure the gear cable.

Original 1996 Brompton Sturmey Archer 5 Speed Gear Cable
By nigel horder

I have original 1996 Brompton (serial number less than 7000). The left hand gear cable and outer needs replacing. What cable part number is required please?
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
The correct cable you need is SJSC part number 19255, you will need to match the length of the inner and outer cable to your old cables so that it does not effect the fold.
Thanks.

Which Replacement Gear Cable Do I Need?

I have a 2007 Brompton with 6 speeds and M Type handlebars
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
For your 6spd bike you need two cables, 1 for the derailleur and the other for the hub itself. The hub gear cable is SJSC part 31234 and the derailleur cable is SJSC part 31241.
Thanks.
