- All axles are made with aircraft quality 4130 steel
- The steel is specifically made for Wheels Manufacturing
- Heat treated to increase strength without making the axle brittle
- The threads are rolled, not cut, for the best thread strength and ease of assembly
- The rolling of the thread removes no metal from the axle and preserves the grain of the material, maximising said strength

Is there any reason to expect this axle to be stronger than the stock axle, Shimano Y30K01200? I seem to have bent one of those.
