The threads are rolled, not cut, for the best thread strength and ease of assembly

Can I fasten this with regular axle nuts?

Hi,
I'm looking to rebuild the rear hub of my vintage Raleigh for a 120mm OLD, and this seems to be the right length. Being a hollow axle, is there any reason to prevent me from using regular nuts instead of a quick release? Thank you.

As the axle is designed for QR skewers that is all we would advise.

Does anyone make a 150mm hollow axle or if not could i cut this down to size?

Hi there,
All I can see is 158mm, yes you could cut this down, but be careful not to damage the threads and that the threads are far enough along toward the centre of the axle.
