I recommend this product
ConsNo bolt provided.
ProsDoes the job well
Wanted to put front lights on with a handlebar bag in place and this did the job. Would be nice if it came with the long bolt you need but I found one in my "Bolt Box". Like the rubber cushioning on it as saves any damage to frame, does mean you cannot tighten it to rigid but really unless your front light is made of lead you should be OK. Mine is a Hope so not light!

ConsScrew is a bit short for bracket and square plate for mudguard
ProsRight height and angle
With fitting a handlebar bag the 'new traditional' way of fitting a front light on the handlbars doesn't work. I therefore thought that perhaps the 'old traditional' way of fitting a light from the top of the forks (through the hole where the mudguard goes) would work - and it does! This is a very study bracket and gives just the right throw to work well

Simple to fit to my disc braked bike. Sturdy enough for a Serfas elume 1500.
Needed Some Adapting To Get It To Fit

Consbit of faffing to get it to fit
Prosgets around the problem of where to put a light when using a bar bag
this is a great bracket but as Simon King above said BBB sell the same one for half this price.
it didn't fit my Sherpa straight off. i needed to make up a seperate bracket for it to allow it to sit in front of the fork bearings.
one other slight disadvantage was that it does make the light wobble a bit if using a larger heavier light but this may be due to the adapter bracket i had to use.

Prosdurable, easy to fit, not expensive
This bracket works well with the twin plate forks of my Raven Tour (and no dounbt many others). The bracket overcomes the tourists problems associated with light location and the use of a front bag. Would support quite a hevy light over fairly bumpy (but possibly not offroad) terrain''
Not A Good Fit

Conswon't fit bike, light wrongly angled.
ProsNone discovered.
I haven't managed to get this to fit with either of our pikes with v or canti brakes. Even if I do manage it by cutting the rubber spacer or some other adjustment, I don't think the space round the bracket cylinder will enable a smart light to shine at the right angle.
Overall I'm disappointed and regard this as a waste of money.
Surprised B&M make it and that SJSC stock it.

This is identical (except for the logo) to this item:

BBB UniMount Bracket

which is a fraction of the price. So buy that one instead!

Bought this after searching high and low for a bracket that would accomodate my new front light. I have a GT bike with tapering handlebars and I couldnt get the light sat correctly so
A- It stayed still and
B- It shone in the right direction.
This littlepiece of engineering cleverness solved that problem, after a bit of tweaking that is, I have it fitted to my crown, due to the design of this crown i had to cut a bit of the bracket so it would fit snug. Once i had modified it it holds the light in a good position that gives an extra coverage of light due to it being a foot or so closer to the road.
Good service by SJS backed up with a quic delivery.

What is the barrel diameter
By
30 Jul 2022
The product title calls is a "25.4mm Mount" which I assume is the barrel diameter. The BBB and the M Wave products are described as exactly the same (but cheaper), but reading questions about those products they have either a 20mm or 22.2mm barrel diameter. Could you please confirm the barrel diamater of these products?
Measured the barrel is approx 23mm in diameter,

What is the width of the barrel between side plates so can determine if light mount will fit.

What are the dimensions of the cylinder?

Hi. Please let me know the length and diameter of the cylinder - I want to check that the handlebar fitting for a Moon Meteor Storm Fog lamp will fit.
Many thanks
Hi, the diameter is 20mm. Thanks 20/01/2020
Brompton
By

Hi, Would this fit a Brompton bike?
Thank you
Hi,

This would not fit on a Brompton I'm afraid, the larger clamp would interfere with the brake too much and the height would interfere with the luggage block and the frame when folding.

Thanks.
How Extendable Is The Bracket?
By
06 Dec 2013
I would need to have an extra long fork crown bracket so that an (as yet unbought) Lumotec IQ2 front lamp can get past the cantilever brakes of my touring bike. So length of bracket is crucial. Many thanks.
Hi,

The clamp is 100mm in length which equates to 60mm of outward distance and 40mm of upward rise.

Thanks.
