Can this light run off a battery pack, 6 volt or 7 volt ? DC or AC ?

The other Edelux runs off a Dynamo Hub. Does that light need AC ? Is a battery pack DC ? I currently run a Philips 60 lux German light off a 6 volt battery pack. I would really like to run Edelux II off same. Please help. Thanks :)

Hi there,
Battery-powered use of the Edelux is not recommended. Voltage higher than 7.5 V – even for a very short time – may damage
electronics and LED. Though voltage lower than 6.5 V is uncritical, it reduces brightness.
Thanks.
