Details
Supernova are renown for their commitment to innovation, design and functionality. The new E3 Tail Light 2, with cable exit below, expands technical limits embracing Supernova's puristic design ideals.
The electronics for the rear light are very neatly integrated into the front light thus allowing for the extremely small design of the light. The CNC machined rear light is very elegant and weighs in at only 12 grams. It is also 100% waterproof which is a real bonus. Designed in Germany it is one of the brightest rear lights that is compliant with the exacting German road traffic act.
The Tail Light 2 with cable exit below, has an ultra bright beam with 250 degrees radius, has the affect of greatly enhancing your safety. The Twin Beam Technology creates extremely bright illumination both to the rear and the sides. The indicator beam allows the rider to control whether the light is on or off while sitting in the saddle. Two different beam angles are used by the three LEDs to optimally combine the light output to brightly illuminate the whole of the danger zone behind you.
The twin core wiring is protected by shrink wrap for its whole length and ensures a safe, loss free power transfer along side top performance.
The 6061 aluminium housing is anodized to make it corrosion resistant.
- Three tiny LEDs with excellent light emissions
- Two side LEDs for lateral illumination
- Robust CNC machined corrosive resistant 6061 aluminium anodized housing
- Twin core wiring protected by shrink wrap
- Salt water resistant housing
- 4 minutes standlight (power supplied by the E3 front light)
- 5mm custom designed LEDs
- Dimensions: 30 (L) x 11 (W) x 15 (D) mm
- Weight: 12g

SJS Customer Service:
This version is only intended for dynamo systems, you will need the 12v version of this light which we currently do not stock at this time. SK 07/07/23
Will this light function properly with an Edelux front light? Thanks.

Will this fit on a brompton rack?

Im looking at replacing my Bromptons front light with a Supernova E3 Pro 2 and pairing it with this rear light. Should I go for this (Lower cable exit version) or the "30783blk" version?
I'm unable to work out if there will be enough space from the light to the wire from where it connects to the light body before it will hit the mudguard but I know there is not much room in this area to play with.
I also understand that the wire included is only 95cm which will be too short for the brompton but I'm assuming I could simply connect it by joining it to a cut down version of this "45425"?
Thanks

SJS Customer Service:
We would use #30783blk as the cable routing will be better.
You will simply need to connect / length the cable.

Can the Supernova rear light be connected to the front light?

I recently got a new front wheel with a SP28 dynohub wired to a Supernova E3 Pro front light. I am now thinking of replacing the rear battery powered light with a Supernova rear light fitted to a Tubus rack. I notice that my front light has a rubber blanking plug where the rear wire would go in. How easy or difficult a job is it to retrospectively wire up the rear light? Any advice much appreciated.
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
As your front light does not already have a rear light cable it sounds like you ordered one of the front only lights we sell. These cannot be used with a rear light at all, it is not possible to wire one into it I'm afraid.
Thanks.

It looks as though there is sealed wiring into the unit. If so how long is the cable? If not, I am looking to replace a B&M Toplight Flat Plus would this be possible without too much fuss?
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,
The cable is hard-wired into the light, the cable is 95CM long. Supernova rear lights are designed to be matched to Supernova front lights so depending on what front light you have will depend on how easy a switch it would be.
Thanks.
